By harnessing the collective contributions of biodiversity, like introducing various plant, animal and insect species, farmers can create more diverse ecosystems on their land which can contribute to soil fertility, help prevent erosion and improve pollination along with a host of other amazing benefits.

Soil is literally the foundation for great coffee and Sâm is a regular at our NESCAFÉ® training sessions, learning regenerative agricultural practices and techniques that help him ensure his soil stays healthy, productive and nourishing.

Coffee trees that have the benefit of other larger trees that provide them with shelter and protection, are happier coffee trees. Not only do they guard them from potential damage from rain and wind, they also contribute to soil health and fertility and have a part to play when it comes to a slower ripening process which can also improve coffee quality, taste and aroma.

Regenerative agriculture consists of various practices that protect and restore natural resources found in nature and helps foster approaches where farmers work with nature to create a win-win scenario for the environment and those working on it.
